In the spirit of spring cleaning ( in the middle of the summer) I decided to return to the more personal one on one human interaction. I think a little technology is great and don’t get me wrong I love technology but sometimes it gets to be a bit much. I mean really what happened to sending people post cards and get better soon notes!!.
Im a card person and a more personable person then that. ( fine you got me im guilty of saying hate people, but that is stupid people and people I don’t know.
So long story short yes its deleted. And expect my card sending and personal emails and calls to make a comeback.

Its amazing how much there is in new York city and also as amazing is how you can go from secure and confident you know where you are to lost and frantic when your GPS decides to not work.
Our trusted tom-tom can not be found so I rented a genius something or other from the rental company and could you have guessed it this thing was horrid. The time to not work properly I tell ya is not the middle of Manhattan. But this is how our road trip started and it was hilarious.
We had a tour of every street in Manhattan every time we where going the right way the GPS would loose its signal and then we had no idea where to turn so we where guessing and stumbling for a while. I have to say it was not as bad as you might think cause we drove passed so much we wanted to see and had no idea where it was. So I felt like our DC vacation at times. Where we drove pass Lincoln more then 8 times before we figured out what road to take.

We drove thru a place that I can say was China town. Not one sign was in English and there where lots of dragons and Asian shops.

We drove right by the 9-11 sites and got stuck in traffic right in front of the new building.



We even drove thru a scene of batman!! So it was a fun lost time.

Finally we found our street and our way out thru Brooklyn.

Wallace was not a fan of Jersey lol the debris and garbage piled up on the sides of the road was very nasty. At the same time lily is in the back seat telling us how much she loved the New York city views and how it’s a gorgeous city.

We went of a Helicopter ride to check out the statue of liberty from a different angle. It was awesome. These kids had a wonderful time. Lily was super good did not freak out at all and Reagan was smiling the whole time. That boy has no fear.
The day was a bit overcast and cloudy so it was not a perfect picture day but we still had a fantastic time.

I got my fill of sweet potato fries!!. everywhere i went i ordered them )). lily ate so well and Reagan well he ate so good i did not break out not ONE jar of food and i took 3 weeks worth with me!. an entire bag or food and snacks untouched.

This place is awesome. So many little places to eat at, so many wonderful views of the ocean, the cottages, and bay, the food, the coffee shops, and food, the friendly people, the town history, the wonderful buildings, and did I mention the food? It was wonderful. I would return to this place and spend more time down south on the coast to enjoy more of the food!!
While at Halifax we took a trip to the citadel with the kids.
Lily charmed everyone even the guard lol. And Reagan thought one of the canons was a fair ride lol. We went pass a post door and went right to the door held on the the handle and started screaming ROB!, ROB! I tell ya I have no idea what about this door made him think of grandpa but I thought it was hilarious… for about 5 seconds then the crowd started looking at him and me like WTH are these people crazy!

I tell ya I had to take out the camera and take a picture in the middle of our road trip of just the sky!. It was amazing ! it felt so nice to just drive and drive thru scenic little towns and rural areas. Amazing what amuses city folks!

Lily was very eager to head into Corning and visit the native art museum. But it was not for the culture lesson. She wanted us to buy something at the store so we can get a little baby buffalo figurine. Long story short after walking the town and doing some shopping we ended up at the museum and lily walked away with a hand full of buffalos.

Well this was a nice and relaxing time aside from the overrated hype of this place and the some rude people. Im gona try not to be negative because we did have a wonderful time. It was perfect weather not too hot not cold and the parks where something I have never seen before. I mean in Costa Rica people love to visit the cemetery and even have lunch there but it’s a cemetery!!. Gorgeous looking flowers all over and benches but you know you’re in a cemetery. Not like this place where I thought I was in a park. it was called a park but here and there you saw tomb stones lol. It was pretty and very quiet and relaxing with groups of day care little kids playing in the grass between tombs. Something eerie about it but beautiful at the same time. They where not new tombs its part of the town history at one point this area was a cemetery and they currently keep it as a park. Anyways enough of my rambling see the pictures you’ll understand.

Best part of this place was the super awesome chocolate and brownie ice cream I had…hmm it was so so so good.

It was Hiya’s real birthday today so we got her a cake that lily wold like lol. hiya does not care much for cake she just likes the whole candle part haha. sorry felt like being funny about it.
she even let us take her picture so it was a good Bday))
